I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis. A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right…..

The official White House account is now using the term when the "looting starts, shooting starts."
The apparent origin of the term when the "looting starts, shooting starts" is a Miami police chief in 1967 who also said, "We don't mind being accused of police brutality." https://t.co/7tPrFyDX1a

The quote "When the looting starts, the shooting starts" originated by a racist white Miami police chief named Walter Headley who targeted black people in 1967 ahead of the Republican convention.
Donald Trump used the same line tonight to threaten to shoot his own citizens.

America is on fire demanding #JusticeForFloyd. Even white people are angry about George Floyd’s innocent murder. Social media is a horror movie. Looting and riots are ruining lives in Minneapolis. President Donald Trump threatened to send the National Guard to calm protesters. He called Mayor Jacob Frey weak.
Covid 19 is isn’t trending anymore. Cops started murdering us the minute Trump muted Dr. Fauci. The White House demanded governors ignore the death toll. Trump is embarrassed by the whole situation. His re-election is on the line. So he’s seemingly giving Minneapolis police permission to kill protesters. Stay woke.
Trump tweeted, “Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!”
Twitter tagged it as “glorifying violence.”
The “historical context” the company referred to is the 1960s — and the Miami police chief Walter Headley’s aggressive policing of black neighborhoods denounced at the time by civil-rights leaders.
Walter Headley is known for starting a race riot! Do you think looters should be shot?
Black people have every right to burn down a country they built for free

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman broke the bad news. He said that despite the horrific video of George Floyd’s death, “there is other evidence that does not support a criminal charge” against the police officer involved.
